Greetings, news, and more!
Hello followers, new and old.
This is a first “spewing” of what some call words to alert you all to a few updates. Nothing organized or structured in anyway, just a few thoughts to kick off a conversation through the Ampwall medium. Couple of fancy label graphics as well as a rollup sneak-peek of our spring show and release calendar, including a few unannounced gigs. By the time this is published, i will be finishing my third cup of coffee for the day and mentally checking out of work getting ready for the Tombs/Replicant/Caesarean gig at Milkboy in Philadelphia. If you don’t got to weekday shows, don’t talk to me. Happy reading.
On the label front…
Replicant Worthless Desires tapes have shipped. I hope that you all found the packaging, if nothing else, UNDOUBTEDLY done by hand and with a lot of time, care and thought put it into them. Perhaps next shipment will use a more GRIM black wrapping/tape to look less like your drunk uncle had to come up with a last second gift using the things he found in the back of his truck.
Replicant has this release digitally on YouTube and more importantly, here on Ampwall, so be sure to give it a listen and if you really dig it, sign up for the waitlist at our store to let us know you want more printed.

More on the label front…
The next three Death Sculpted Productions tape releases are already in motion. Without prematurely divulging too much…
DSP002 will be a live cut from a goregrind show we did some years ago.
DSP003 will be the tape version from Pennsylvania Black Metal’s best kept secret.
DSP004 will be a live split from a recent show, will not share which just yet.
On the live show front…
The spring show calendar for Philadelphia is PACKED, and not just ours. We have two shows in May prior to MDF and 3 in June right after. All of them top tier. You can check out all of our posted gigs that have live tickets here at our Linktree. The collective is more or less thinking of taking a spring vacation and not booking ANY gigs in the city during the months of April and May. Between the Hell’s Heroes aftermath, Maryland Deathfest workup tours & fest itself, and the Decibel Metal and Beer Fest, it is extremely difficult to guarantee that we are not going to find ourselves in a similar situation as the past - where a “sure thing” bill flops financially due to oversaturation in the live music space in the city. It’s the ugly truth of booking shows in a B-market city that others in larger populations may not recognize (or care to acknowledge when they ask me to book their band on a Tuesday for $1200 in a <180 cap room the day after and before two other bigger shows…)
Concluding thoughts and reflection…
Finally, would like to extend the sincerest of thank yous to all who have come to our shows since day one, and just an equal if not more amount of thanks to all new followers, friends and foes. Our team is slowly expanding in number and direction, and I sincerely hope that we can continue to provide quality extreme metal shows to the Philadelphia and surrounding communities, and bring fresh tape releases with quality packaging that all collectors will enjoy.
We have been “cookin’” (as the kids say) on lots of unique ideas that aren’t really happening in the city’s extreme metal space as of now, and we are very excited to bring them all to you. Expect this community medium to eventually look more like a semi-professionally done zine than a random blog post.
For now, hails to our allies and a swift, lethal fuck-you to all of our foes (we love you).
-X.
