Cover
First album. I didn’t know what I was doing but knew I wanted a picture of Imrryr for the cover so I scribbled one myself. I took a picture of it and removed the background and put it back on top a close up of a picture of paper of an old book that has that slightly yellowed tint. I use this yellowed paper under EVERY Imrryr album because I love the way old books look. If I could all the albums would also smell like that.
I still don’t know much about art or graphic design but I force myself to do it all on my own as much as I can so i can level up. I have commissioned work a few times from folks I like when my ideas go well beyond what I can do. Thankfully the people I have worked with have been willing to have me do the graphic design and bring in the yellowed paper so it fits ‘in universe’
I wasn’t thinking ahead and did not account for shape an album cover so the repeating image on the edges was just me trying to figure out a way to use the whole image as a cover. WHOOPS.
Due to my limited skills in graphic design this is also when I decided I would write out all the text because I have no idea how to do cool word art stuff, thus establishing my handwriting as the font for a majority of the albums.
