A random walk through Craigneuk. Walking back from the shop through the lane, the lane that I’ve went through to go to this one shop for 8 years now. I decided to take some photos most likely for cover art and just I really like taking photos of things.
Little did I know, this would become the image to debut my dark ambient project Caer Sgàil and it’s debut EP “It’s The People We Choose” and I can’t imagine it being any different. Every time I go to the shop and walk through that lane and think about how something that I’ve seen so much when walking through, now has this new meaning to me. My brother Jay (aka Anti) actually made a comment about it when I came up to visit him because he kept telling my sister in-law about it being that very house just down the lane, it’s really nice to have everything from the It’s The People We Choose artwork be all local to my area and It’s also just what the music is inspired by alot.
There was a time in my life where I didn’t want to walk back through that lane, because I almost got killed in that very place (long story) but now I can walk through there with full confidence, and it’s even better knowing that something I created and was so passionate about is linked to this area. I overcame this and I managed to make it through to be able to create the stuff that I want to make.
Anyway sorry for the long rant
