Upon These Unfamiliar Shores
Nepenthe
Pull me toward the edge of your pain Wresting away the trauma and failure And the poison of breathing The disease of this so-called life The metastasis of thought, a cancer of self I deigned to swallow you, as you have swallowed me Your beauty, naught but the sweetest of wine, It is a rotted seed of malignancy Oppressive rays of light come down And fall upon this dying flesh Upon mine broken fingers pointing towards the heavens Raised in sickening desperation There is no beauty to be found within This disgusting paradox of existence Swords dipped in phosphorus and mercury Casting away the lies of the sun I call out to the winds, Blow mine flesh into tatters. How I wish to become one with the mountains, And never feel this pain again The vault of the sky comes crashing down Over us like scarlet curtains Die with me here, upon these unfamiliar shores And drink with me, this poisoned wine Raise thy grail, and drink the poison that I have placed therein And suffer at the bottom of it all Loneliness is forever And your light fades within.

A small night storm blows Saying 'falling is the essence of a flower' Preceding those who hesitate.

Time Time Time (Of the Wand & the Moon Cover)
Nepenthe
So I draw my secrets, a flame, so sweet And I lose my breath in those crystal eyes How time flies - and how things turn A change of winds, a stroke of wings And a pain so grave only gods can touch How time dies - and how it hurts Turn your eyes away, don’t hold my hand I am cursed and damned How time flies - and how it burns So I draw my secrets, a fire so sweet And I lose my faith in those dim-lit eyes How time flies - and how things turn

Dawn
Nepenthe
My eyes were forced open To the light of the morning Everything was so weary, And old My skin was enshrouded with warmth Yet all I felt was cold I will slip into your wounds So that I feel your pain I have seen through your eyes Elated within your darkest moment Within your darkest moment... My eyes were wide Under the light of the moon Your arms were wan and Hallowed It filled my heart with pain And the deepest of sorrow! My eyes were forced open To the light of the morning Everything was so weary, And old I was reminded of the halcyon days But all I felt was cold!

Breathe Deeply, this Lethean Mist
Nepenthe
I breathed deeply of the dawn's first light It felt acrid, in my lungs I breathed the dusk's last light But it faded away from the hollows of my drooping skull The mist rises around you and you no longer breathe The fog envelopes your senses, you relinquish everything I breathed deeply of the Lethean mist But you were no longer there I tried to hide myself, to conceal my yearning But you faded with my thoughts Breathe deeply, this Lethean mist Drink deeply, these miles of night Breathe

Drowning in Acrid Light
Nepenthe
Arms bound to a willow Waiting for the dagger's blow Pale skin bathed in sunlight Steel reflecting the daylight's glow Oh the tragedy of youth - Shall you extinguish such beauty? A glimmer of doubt Is all you have left Gaze upon the dagger, Still pushing you forward Drowning in acrid light Tipping scales which lack center Palms slashed, dripping in expiration Their fallow soaked within their blight Merging, into space without center Collapsing over unrealized yearnings Murdered, still clutching the dagger Deciphering images upon his dying flesh "One is fruitful only at the cost of being rich in contradictions. One remains young only on condition that the soul does not relax, does not long for peace." Flowers blooming, from soft white flesh O the frailty of youth, poured upon the cold ground Exquisite white cloth dyed red, with the immaculate blood of youth.

Elegies of Loss and Doom
Nepenthe
All remnants of those pleasures That I have not found, are scattered on my surface You will see nothing But my taciturn gaze Burning scars into your reflection Look down, or you shall be drawn apart And buried behind me Decaying in the ground A womb, of cold earth The beasts shall dig up your bones Feasting anew, on the marrow You have left behind Rotting away, to your core Reflection gazing downward Toward the horizon! Ever Fading, You shall never reach those opulent feasts Lying beyond where, You cannot grasp Cerulean robes draped over, The Geishas hidden in the clouds Their faces sunken and hollow, Brimming with Imperial beauty Nubile and writhing, Ready to burst free from their frail shells Eyes empty and wonting You shall forever rot.
