Ten times a thousand miles down In a well forgotten by time Shackled and scorned Drowning in the moist air I breathe Ten times a thousand screams I bellow Into my own subconscious Echoing off of my prison walls And resonating in my bleeding ears Ten times a thousand bugs Prying their way through my brittle skin Cutting like broken glass And scaring my empty soul

Ten times a thousand lies Pour like a waterfall Out of the only source of light Drowning me in doubt and disbelief Ten times a thousand eyes Stare at me from inside my own eyes Peering deep into darkness Reflecting an inverse image Ten times a thousand deaths With every life a bitter memory With every breath an utter waste With every scream a means to an end Of this life Of this light Of this soul Of this apprehension
