Pale Blue Reflection
Teach Them To Weep
One Hundred Forty-Four Thousand awake With eyes fixed on a pale blue dot In a state of confusion and fear Then the voice comes on the intercom Dust to dust Everything they touch turns to ash Never look back Taken from the last breath of the earth you're on a different path Chosen for the purpose of rebirth Culled from the herd Plucked from the earth Suspended in a state of disbelief Portal opened Vantablack stares transmit we've reached Let it begin Alpha Centauri Dawn of new man A new world to build and destroy Gaia seeding the new Eden's dirt Plucked from the earth Culled from the herd Her final breath begat the birth Exodus, migration, diaspora Destined to fail again A fresh start, same end A paradise to turn to ash Give up the ghost Repeat the past Goddamn it's beautiful Valleys too low, mountains too tall We'll change it all In a few years we'll start a war To prove who owns more Dust to dust Everything we touch turns to ash The blood of man Perpetuating suffering and pain Will be blood on our hands Our lust for blood will never be contained Lungs of the universe Contract and they swell Heaven and Hell Just reflections of ourselves

Invocations of the Moon by Nora Godfrey
Teach Them To Weep
Throw the cameras in the car I brought the books, I'm riding shotgun Sage and birch bark in a jar Bring your sigils if you got one Invocations of the Moon: The Revelations of A Sinner Been taking notes on Chapter 2: The Introduction to The Shimmer I've been practicing the craft Everyday Every morning, noon, and nightshade Rumor has it There'll be an exhibition A public display of her pure vision The black capsule Will finally be unsealed and the three missing pages Will be revealed I can feel we're getting close Such rapid pulse that I might die Her book on tape to calm my nerves Just as it ends, we have arrived Maybe she'll sign my 3rd edition and offer up a lock of hair Daydreaming, walking towards the entrance Feels like I'm walking on the air There's something in the way I see her in every page Everything she conveys is like gospel Savior, I've been saved I would let her fill my grave Eternally, I could be her apostle Handed out at the doorway Absinthe in paper cups Numbers in each one at the bottom We have a toast for good luck There's something in the way Her passion fuels the rage If asked, I would gladly surrender Darkness in the day I would never look away I could gaze into her eyes forever Watching Waiting Hoping Praying but only to her Praying for commandments I'd hang on every word Enchanted A few hours go by Just talking shop with the boys Break out the tarot and lock in Just as we begin she walks right on in A hush comes over the crowd She controls every breath The composer of fear The conductor of death As she takes to the stage Ice forms in my veins She calls 58 and I'm hauled to the altar Branded by a crescent moon Salt inside the open wound Surrounded by a thick mist Shrouded in darkness Begging to be altered Please let me into your flame Swimming in the obsidian sea Alone in the dark Light emanating inside my chest I'm vomiting stars The ceremony of Shimmering to be A soft glow in her heart Draining the rays from my wretched soul Taking every last spark Converted into a slave Bathed in unholy water Programmed to serve and obey Just a sheep to the slaughter 58

Bus With No Number
Teach Them To Weep
Eyes roll back The tenth hour begins Tripping to reruns of old PBS I was born in this room Can't remember my name The hands of God scrubbing my brain Disassociating New faces trade places New faces trade places Strapped to a bed Eyes taped open Cleanse me of sin Devils within Cloth on the face Baptized in pain But that voice from the past Keeps coming back Please let me see the sun today I'll do whatever you say Must push it down Must bleed it out It's got to drown To be set free Three weeks Three hours of sleep Lights out and I'm lost in a dream Waking up and I'm finally out in the sun Feel the rays on my face and my hand on a gun I look up, there's a man in a pool of his blood All mixed up, Oh my God, what the fuck have I done Just a moment ago I was, oh I forget On a bus, not on strings like a marionette I wasn't here I had my bones in the seat Cruising past Mars Down on Main Street Swinging through stars Take me back to Frizzle's classroom Mad as a hatter Red as a beet Dry as a bone Blind as a bat

The Hunter and Orion's Thrall
Teach Them To Weep
I watched her gazing skyward Engulfed in light, my lunar bride Tangled up in serpentine vine Drawing down the Hunter's Moon Milky skin on pulsing void Mirrored stars on rippled water The town reposed, just us alone The halos glow, snow promised soon On the banks, the crimson leaves Trace death to her and her to me Her fingers weave through brindled fur Undulating with each breath Oh, to be the waning beast Transfixed with love inside her grasp Curling up in her open arms Exchanging stares before death A branch gives way Now I have become the prey I can feel her obsidian eyes lock on mine and I cannot look away Trapped in a hypnotic state Serpents doing her bidding Wrap 'round my ankles She's levitating Screaming Floating my way My fate is sealed I am the new offering Sacrificed to please the great Orion

Heroic Aldous
Teach Them To Weep
Too many tabs in the alley A bitter taste in my mouth Open The Doors of Perception To keep from looking around But every letter's a code and to decipher seems worthless Just symbols running together A dead language in cursive The passengers weaving their words have altered the topic Conversations of weather have changed from mundane to demonic Oh Just try to keep it together Sit up and look at the stars Pretend the train's not ablaze Pretend you're not where you are and then the flames fade The Heavenly gates Open Seraphim call my name Distant sounds of revelry Void of pain All is love Take a step and then they close shut One minute all that is is opulence and bliss in a neon glow Then back to Hell a bed of nails I'm on these rails riding ebbs and flows All these shades of Alex Grey and Moscoso Rapidly morphing into Goya and Gericault Someone tell the conductor This thing's going too fast Now I'm lost Now I'm free Now I'm puking in a stranger's fucking lap Now I'm here Now I'm back but I have no clue where that's at The walls, they start to drip Their teeth grow teeth, their lips They turn to snakes They turn to snakes As I wait for my punishment I need to get to the vestibule I got to get off these tracks Here, hold my book I'll be right back

Teach Them To Weep
I feel it crawling up my spine Making it's way into my system Resistance dying on the vine The resurrection of the sickness Touch it 3 times or everyone here will die Caress it 4 Up to the sky from the floor Breathe in Hold it Breathe out 2 fucking hours away Live wires fall in the sink The stove is on and I'm sure everything's burning Any minute now I'll get a call from the cops Please stop the fucking car I'm melting The sun is going to explode Constellations shift Magnetic poles flipped I swear that the center won't hold Incessant chatter A million voices More like a cacophony of noise I didn't opt in Never an option It's not like I had a choice Oh sweet anxiety I can't stop shaking What lovely paranoia Are you lying to me? What are you hiding? Everybody's up to something Watching, waiting, always hungry What's that noise? It's probably nothing Nothing benevolent Distant laughing from the next room One walked past me Felt it pass through Unraveling, coming unglued I can feel it watching me breathe Now it's standing in the corner Counting every time I blink Waiting for me to surrender To possess me while I sleep Don't look Look out the window Don't look Look out the window Don't look Look out the window Don't look Look out the window Shamanic drumming coming from the hum of the bathroom ceiling fan Can you hear the symphony? Just put your ear to the vent Oh sweet anxiety Barely present, just a burning effigy Don't speak Stay away from me Throw a weighted blanket over everything Oh sweet anxiety (constant waves from endless oceans) Barely present, just a burning effigy Don't speak (Through an amp turned all the way to 10) Stay away from me Throw a weighted blanket over everything My hand caught the code Changed how I write Started obscure, got more focused with time Spread to my torso, down to my toes Left foot over cracks wherever I go From 4 to 3 when there's hands on the clock At a slight angle from bottom to top The rules change a bit from ticking to dots I've tried so hard to make it stop Holding my breath passed A0F Now I can breathe passed A0G

Beyond the Veil
Teach Them To Weep
Come behind the curtain From beyond the veil Leave your liminal spaces Let yourself in Listen You can hear the footsteps from the basement They're swirling in the hallway I've been hoping you would stay awhile One second there's a presence The next they are gone Bridging the gap between What has been, what's to come, and what always will be Light from above This house is a portal for anything beyond the veil Bridging the gap between What has been, what's to come, and what always will be Light from above This house is a portal for anything beyond the veil

The writing and recording process for this began in April 2025. Almost all the lyrics are written as short stories. Some of the themes include psychedelics, the occult, and interstellar travel. My favorite part of any music project that I've ever done or been a part of is writing the lyrics, but the meanings often get lost in translation. Below, I've included short breakdowns to what each song is about.

FFO: conspiracies, The Magic School Bus, Guns N' Roses, the color teal, forgiving people who aren’t good at genre classification or tagging

Nothing is what it seems. Form your own conclusions. Commit thoughtcrimes while you still can.

I never have and never will use AI in any of my creative endeavors.

The veil is so thin it's about to break.

Lyrics Breakdown:

1. Pale Blue Reflection

The Earth is dying from the aftermath of nuclear war. A large group of strangers are selected by unnamed entities to repopulate a "new earth". They all wake up on a spaceship, unknowingly headed toward the Alpha Centauri star system...

2. Invocations of the Moon by Nora Godfrey

About a group of friends going on a road trip to a conference, where their favorite occult author, Nora Godfrey, will be making an appearance. The protagonist, who is the narrator of the story, is infatuated with the author. Picked by a "lottery number" at the bottom of a cup of absinthe, the narrator is selected to come up to an altar and is part of a ritual, for better or (most likely) worse...

3. Bus With No Number

About an MK Ultra type experiment where the test subject is given BZ (3-Quinuclidinyl benzilate), which is a powerful psychedelic, and tortured until they become a Manchurian candidate. Between the tortures, they are made to watch old reruns of the PBS show, The Magic School Bus. They are finally set free and end up doing what they were programmed to do...

4. The Hunter and Orion's Thrall

A hunter who just shot an animal during the Hunter's Moon is tracking it by following the blood. He comes across a witch holding the animal while she stares at the full moon. Very quickly, from a distance, he falls in love with her. While he's admiring her beauty, a branch he's leaning on snaps and she then turns her attention on him...

5. Heroic Aldous

A person takes a "heroic dose" of LSD before a train ride. They start to feel uncomfortable and try to read the book they brought with them, The Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley, but the LSD comes on too strong and they start to have an intense trip. One second, things are glowing and look heavenly and the next they're thrust into a hellscape. Back and forth it goes until they can't take it...

6. A0F

An interlude and sister track to A0G meant to be the "cacophony of noise" from A0G and a close representation of what it sounds like.

7. A0G (Oppressive Convulsive Dysphoria)

This is an autobiographical song.

8. Beyond the Veil

About the house I grew up in where I've had a fair amount of paranormal experiences. By an interesting series of events, this is now the home I own and live in with my wife.
