Am I in Trouble?
Empty shades of white. Nothing left, but the starkest of light. Life we hoped to see. Tried so hard, but it just can't be. I've been waiting all this time, for something I can't see. For something I can't hear. For something to believe. But now I know, it's best if I find my own way. Perhaps there was hope, but I just can not wait for that day, Nothing left to say. They'll feign care, but there's no way. That they ever knew, what it was we tried to do. Now I (now I) I find (I find) nothing, where something once stood. That we thought we'd see standing, long after we would. I've been waiting all this time, for something I can't see. For something I can't hear. For something to believe. But now I know, it's best if I find my own way. Perhaps there was hope, but I just can not wait for that day.

Am I in Trouble?
I will stretch myself into nothing for you. Fill every part of me. Take over, deep inside of me. I will engulf you I will become you Enter me Swell and swell and swell I will control you, and we will be one (and we will be one) Look into my void, and see yourself (and see yourself) Then, I purge Crown of flames Breathe in, absorb Breathe out, destroy Give in to the rust I have no form, no limits I will stretch myself into nothing for you. Fill every part of me. Take over, deep inside of me.

Am I in Trouble?
Cycles Twisting, spirals ending Only to come back around Repeating Nothing matters It's all, going to end Cycles Twisting, spirals unending It's a salve A tonic A placebo Sugar pills to bide the time All directions look the same Each time we see that, we find a way To keep, going And try to forget, ever knowing Air. Water. Salt. Sugar. Acid. Bile. Mucous. Blood. Cycles Pumping blue, bleeding red Wearing down, fading away, falling out, til the day. Cycles, your cycles ends. You are consumed, by things, you never even see. You are just a gruel, nutrition. Your cycle ends. It's a salve, a tonic Sugar pills to bide the time, to bide the time

Am I in Trouble?, Alex Loach
Nothing but black light penetrates through cracks in the edges of you Reaching out to find a space Emptiness now fills that place Scratch the surface Scrape the bone Crack through the cartilage Only to find, inky-dark marrow Drain the wound that doesn't stop seeping Til it pours down your throat, plugs up the ears, fills up the lungs Black inside black over black Black inside black over black Space (space) You dropped away (you dropped away) Cavity Vacant Are you obscured? (are you obscured?) Or is there nothing there? Time (time) Time drifts ahead (time drifts ahead) Moments freeze. Static. Kept facing forward. Didn't hold on. When I turned back, you were gone. Seeking out the find a key. Searching for a door ahead of me. There's no light from behind, I'd been walking blind. Groping for any support I could find. Flickers of light would awaken. So many gone, I'd forsaken. Vacancy Slowly filled by viscous blight. Scratch the surface Scrape the bone Crack through the cartilage Only to find, inky-dark marrow Drain the wound that doesn't stop seeping Til it pours down your throat, plugs up the ears, fills up the lungs Black inside black over black Black inside black over black Space (space) You dropped away (you dropped away) Cavity Vacant Are you obscured? (are you obscured?) Or is there nothing there? Time (time) Time drifts ahead (time drifts ahead) Moments freeze. Static. Kept facing forward. Didn't hold on. When I turned back, you were gone. Small and alone Fear pervades, so shut down Bury deep, hide it all Til it can not be found. Search to heal, but it's lost. Remedied, at a cost. That neglect, breeds the dark. Black inside black over black.

"In 2025, avant-garde black metal is nearly synonymous with dissonance. Acts like Blut Aus Nord and Imperial Triumphant assert that avant-garde black metal must draw from jazz and revel in darkness. It is, seemingly by default, hurdy-gurdy and esoteric. However, Steven Wiener from Am I In Trouble? asserts that this view is narrow-minded, though he’ll say it in kinder terms. His debut record under this moniker, Spectrum, is a revival of avant-garde black metal’s colorful side.- Colin Dempsey, Invisible Oranges (www.invisibleoranges.com/am-i-in-trouble-spectrum/)

Spectrum is the debut album by Am I in Trouble?, an erratic journey through colorful black corners of metal.

A love-letter to the eclecticism and experimentation displayed in the early-to-mid 2000s avantgarde black metal explosion.

Deeply influenced by the works of artists active during this time, however, the goal was not to recreate and imitate these bands—but rather, to extract elements from their approaches to creation—and in doing so, develop something new— filtered through the unique vision of multi-instrumentalist Steve Wiener.

Spectrum is a deliberately disparate, vivid and varied musical journey.
