Break your head open What spills out Nothing except Unrequited feelings and memories Meaningless for all of eternity You’ve always known Your empty soul Well enough to know That hopes and dreams are for the oblivious Where’s the way out I see myself For what is really there Not what I wish I was Serve yourself some cake Can’t appreciate What’s at stake Or celebrate your fate By aiming blunt force at the roof of your mouth At least you weren’t Pacified and fed those lies Told from birth you’re special right Particles to particles At least energy lives on Breathe in sulphur The agony is here The point of life The meaning you feared Crack your soul open What you see Will disappoint you Unless you’re like me Cynical and wasted Disgusted and faded No higher power Would save me Or you or anyone or anything We’re nothing but particles Suspended in space Meaningless energy Now stop acting fake
