Beyond Grace
Man is just an animal Driven by his basest instincts The need to feed, the urge to breed, and multiply Selfish and irrational, insatiable and cruel We only care, for when and where Our next meal will be due But as demand increases Supply must grow to meet it We'll sacrifice the weakest And let the market decide Who should live and who should die Tender is the flesh, sweeter is the marrow Bitter is the taste of what we do to see tomorrow Domesticated death, keeps the product pure So will you be the butcher or the carcass? We're all just cannibals Consuming our own kind Compulsive carnivores with only one thing on our minds With automated appetites we keep our bellies full We've seized the means of reproduction Breeding cattle for the cull From the cradle to the table It's a necessary evil, we must accept There's always money to be made And mouths that must be fed Grinding bones to make our bread Tender is the flesh, sweeter is the marrow Bitter is the taste of what we do to see tomorrow Domesticated death, keeps the product pure So will you be the butcher or, the carcass on the killing floor? We are what we eat Over and over the cycle repeats One day you're the butcher The next day you're just meat Tender is the flesh, sweeter is the marrow Bitter is the taste of what we do to see tomorrow Domesticated death, keeps the product pure So will you be the butcher or the carcass? On the killing floor

Part 2 of our EP trilogy, which will ultimately be collected and released physically as our third album, "Welcome to the New Dark Ages".

Featuring three new songs covering topics like police corruption, cannibal capitalism, and the allure of mob justice - inspired by the works of George Orwell, Agustina Bazterrica, Nancy Fraser, and Charlie Brooker (and more) - it continues our quest to elevate both our songwriting skills and our technical talents (with, as always, more of a focus on the former) by pushing ourselves to go heavier, hookier, and proggier than ever.
