White Bear
Beyond Grace
Abandon hope (who enters here) This is the new golgotha Which all men know to fear (and good men greet with horror) This is the place where mercy dies And anything is justified The punishment exceeds the crime But still we call it justice Whip the mob into a frenzy, wind them up and let them loose Peel away the tattered moral fabric to expose the ugly truth That this is who we really are, beneath our civilised facade Mindless masses, driven to madness, lusting for our pound of flesh A public execution, live on every screen Voyeuristic retribution, keeps our guilty conscience clean Are you not satisfied? Are you not entertained? By the public spectacle of our daily dose of hate Hate - is a hideous ecstasy Hate - of fear and depravity Hate - our collective insanity Moral panic, cruel and manic Hate - is the absence of empathy Hate - and the cause of our enmity Hate, is a cage, for the mind A public execution, live on every screen Voyeuristic retribution, keeps our guilty conscience clean Are you not satisfied? Are you not entertained? By the public spectacle of our daily dose of hate This is your daily dose of hate White bear - no rest for the wicked, no peace for the damned White bear - the mob is a beast, with blood on its hands White bear - no mercy for those who show none themselves White bear - we are all monsters now, and this is our hell

Part 2 of our EP trilogy, which will ultimately be collected and released physically as our third album, "Welcome to the New Dark Ages".

Featuring three new songs covering topics like police corruption, cannibal capitalism, and the allure of mob justice - inspired by the works of George Orwell, Agustina Bazterrica, Nancy Fraser, and Charlie Brooker (and more) - it continues our quest to elevate both our songwriting skills and our technical talents (with, as always, more of a focus on the former) by pushing ourselves to go heavier, hookier, and proggier than ever.
