Light those fires March to the beating drum Pillaging the natural With purpose Smoke climbs higher Billowing ochre Frightening the animals From their homes Find a light in the dark Before the world you know turns to dust Blood runs colder Watching the woeful burn Falling off the edge of the earth With no hope Find a light in the dark Before the world you know turns to dust Temper the hurt Before we all fall down into the dirt The dry, cracked earth Through the smoke The forest falls A cold wind blows For us all Ancient rains from the world awoke Protects herself, a fire was smote Piercing shrieks from beasts unknown None left alive, perished in their droves Forged in the fires Monuments to our glories arise Broke on the backs of the many Abhorrent deeds enshrined Behold!
