…city lights fractured in the rain again.
Can’t tell if it’s the glass or my head glitching.

I keep pulling sounds from dead decades
tapes warped in the heat, commercials no one remembers,
the hum of CRTs long gone dark.

A ghost in the grid
I just call it signal.
A pulse in the static that reminds me I’m still here.
Maybe.

Every track I build is another skyline,
another back alley lit by flickering neon,
another place to hide from the drones.

I don’t know if these are my memories
or someone else’s dreams bleeding into me.
All I know is…
the grid is listening.

// End Log

DCX9000 is a music project and the main character pulled straight from the neon shadows of Data Center Xero, the cyberpunk universe created by Addison K. Set in the sprawling spires and undercity tunnels of San Frandisco, Neo California, circa 2197, every song serves as a recovered fragment of DCX9000’s journal. Each entry is a transmission of life in the grid, filled with sonic evidence of life, love, danger, and survival in a city where humanity and circuitry blur.
