Draxhan is a hybrid cosmic metal experience led by the Galactic Overlord Volkor X, in collaboration with the High Priestess Sab Elvenia (The Fundamental Wisdom of Chaos) providing lyrics and vocals. The universe of Draxhan is unapologetically cosmic and esoteric, merging sci-fi imagery with metaphysical themes. Musically, Draxhan explores a vast spectrum of metal subgenres, drawing from post-black metal, progressive metal, post-hardcore, and extreme metal, while incorporating dense electronic textures from the farthest reaches of space. The interplay between savage aggression and soaring melodic vocals reinforces the project’s unique identity. Add to this the blazing guitar solos of Sylvain Coudret (Soilwork), Aurélien Edouard (The Great Old Ones), and Lucas de la Rosa, and you get an EP that captures the full essence of Draxhan: a cosmic journey where brutality, transcendence, and otherworldly soundscapes converge.
Draxhan is currently working on a concept album set to be released in four chapters. This is the first chapter.
