One Day
Fire To The Prisons
One day these walls will come down And one day we will see you all And one day we will hold our hands, And one day it will be a new dawn One day these walls will come down And one day we will see you all And one day we will hold our hands, And one day it will be Struggle to find hope, struggle with my own mind, How did this world become so unkind? Fuck every border, fuck every cell cage, There's hope in our rage. Disappear people, disappear pain, Keep it behind doors, keep it in vain, Why does a world without bars, Seem so god damn strange? BURN THIS WORLD DOWN! Discipline, hate & punish, your new sense of injustice, A crooked smile with pointed teeth saying you should always trust us, Crimes of needs and crimes of hate, judged by a criminal state, Who rob and steal Indigenous land and then decide our fates, Community would keep us safe, no need for keys, locks or gates, “But what about all the rapes?” “You mean the ones who all walk free?” I will make no more false pretence about our need for self defence, But the jails have never worked, don't you fucking see?

This demo was recorded, produced and mixed on the stolen lands of the Jagera and Turrbal people. Fire to the Prisons unequivocally supports the struggles of Indigenous people in their fight for justice and self determination.
