Come kneel in this warm bed Pull the tiny thread From the open full flower Come in from the breaking heat Bring you golden sweets Filled with honey and saffron Pure light Full and bright Vibrant and haunting Lie awake Seasons break Restless and wanting

We are stranded on the sand Locked by land Deeply sounded We are full and far apart and always grounded But the snow up in the hills Turns to free Rivers rolling So between us there is Always current flowing So flow ’Til your waters wash on another shore Let it pour So slow Carving out our shapes where our bodies lay Too far away When the rain comes far too fast And the floods Push the limit We can join our rising tides Just for a minute So flow Til your waters wash on another shore Let it pour So grow Overflowing bodies are closing in Let them win So flow Then our waves will crash on each other’s shore Let them roar So grow Overflowing bodies becoming one Let it come
