Here we are Awakened into warming weather Summoned by the sun To grow strong Still we know It only takes a little winter In the hours before the dawn and Oh will the longing of the cold night Turn our leaves to glass Hold on, the solace of the sunrise Will arrive at last And we’ll grow You and I As fitful as the change in seasons Basking in the days Of bird song All at once The north wind brings the freeze in And the nights are still so long but Oh wait and soon we’ll see the sunlight Coming through the trees Hold on for just another hour A few more degrees And we’ll grow
