Locusts and Honey present their first recorded offering as a five-piece. Furthering the distinct style forged on their debut, this new EP, Shadow of My End, captures over 22 minutes of biting and bellicose blackened doom, interspersed with more restrained passages, both achingly sad and haunting in equal measure.

The title of the EP is taken from the English Renaissance composer John Dowland’s song, ‘Come, heavy Sleep’. Daily, weary from our labours, we seek the respite of sleep. It is both night and day, and always standing with us, and it can be found between the warp and weft of these songs.

The end is promised to us, and though that can be scary, it should also bring us comfort.

For fans of Mizmor, Dragged Into Sunlight, Esoteric, Corrupted, and William Basinski
