We Reach for the Heavens, Knowing They Do Not Exist
from The Blade Was Forged to Fit Your Hand
The Blade Was Forged to Fit Your Hand is the sixth album from solo UK act Lunar Cult. It represents a continuing evolution of the melodic dungeon synth style that started in 2021 with Death Cannot Contain You and was further explored on 2023’s She Carved Your Name Upon the Bones of Time. This time though the album is about conquering adversity, as whilst the familiar themes of overcoming loss and struggle are present, the outlook this time is more hopeful than on previous releases. Life may be tough, but together, we are tougher. It is completed by superb artwork from Misha Mono, which captures the mixture of grace, serenity, and steel that runs through the album.
Play at night and/or when feeling sad.
