Pyres
Tears won’t bring them home. And just as you walk, You crawl. Tears won’t bring them home. All the shine turns to rust. Like sand to water. Hands full of dust. Tears won’t bring them home. All the old dogs are blind. And just as you walk, You crawl. Tears won’t bring them home. Deep coves to drag down. Big hands to hold me up, And never feel again. Into the old dark quiet. You will know I tried. And I will know you tried.

"YUN" showcases a band transformed.

PYRES embrace a broad palette of influences that incorporates the furious energy of High on Fire, the melodic sludge metal of early era Baroness, and even delves into the realms of doom, grunge, and post-rock.

One of many dialectic translations of the Chinese word "Yun" is “to accumulate strength” or “to hold in emotions”. The album’s narrative is autobiographical in nature with lyrics depicting a mission of healing old wounds and purging the “accumulation” of grief and guilt.
