"Roughly Speaking" is the first album by myself, released under the guise "Renonquet", uploaded to Youtube on 20th April 2016 and released to streaming services from 9th November 2016. It was a collection of songs that I had been developing on the quiet over the course of about 7 years, mainly with the use of a tracker called Renoise. Many of the sounds come from the commercial softwares Synplant and Microtonic, though most of the other tools were available freely. All of the sounds were synthesised.

I guess it has a melodic lo-fi air about it. Tuneful but with a sting in its tale. The tracks I think are somewhat varied whilst clearly still 'siblings'. It's amazing how much I have learnt since I made these tracks, it's clear that they capture my limited abilities at the time, but I am still very proud that I got them out there.

This release is a remastered edition to mark ten years since its release. I have tried to fix my previous bug-bears about how this album was originally mastered. I have also renamed the first track, previously called "The Old World", to just "World".
