Burning Olive Trees

Sickened by what I saw The smoke, the dust, the rubble I watched a man wail As he held the limp, headless body of a child I saw the bombs explode The ribcages of emaciated children Lacerated by shrapnel So many dead children And the soldiers, they all laughed As they killed As they raped As they desecrated They burned the olive trees as their caretakers wept There's no more room left on this Earth for humanity And it's all for money It's all for profit There's no room for humanity There's only money There's only profit There's only hate There's only hate There's only hate There's only hate A choir of dying children surrounds.
