Started in 2019, Silence Before the Storm is a solo/studio project from Wyoming-based multi-instrumentalist/engineer Matthew “Axl” Brammer (Six Below Zero, Underrot, Agony By Default, Breath of Sindragosa, Days Long Gone). It features a blend of old-school melodic metalcore, groove metal, and Gothenburg-style melodeath…reminiscent of the 2000s New Wave of American Heavy Metal bands.
