About THIS.INFERNAL.MACHINE

Originally formed amongst three friends in the rural nowhere of the California valley during the 90s.

THIS.INFERNAL.MACHINE took a hiatus of sorts or better to say life happened as it does for everyone. Vyx England, now the sole member of the project, brings the machine back from the haunted void from his passion for music and need for creative expression. The original philosophy behind the project was to simply exist amongst fellow creatives and to carry on and add to the sound of the bands & artists who inspired it but in the project’s own way.

The project’s name is metaphor for the seemingly unattainable. That vexing thing that is unique to us all, an odyssey to ascertain or languish without. As murky as it is elsusive. Yet key to the inevitable constant of change while trying to understand ourselves in a given place in a given time. It is longing without end. A dream yearning to be. A subtle whisper of progress. The inner critic. The agitator. An antagonist. All these things, none of these things, and every nuanced bit in between.
