Peel back the pretense I'm unarmed and unarmored Understand: I'm skinless, a sullen teen The smallest thing can crush me All of this space, it suffocates And my tongue gets tied Walking these frozen streets alone I realized that we are just the same: we’re prey And I wish I didn't want it Most days feel impossible When I want to be on your list and on your tongue And I can't wait for another summer to arrive Before my skin grows back and blocks the sun Erase the scars of all the things I've done And we are just the same: no shame We still believe that next time will be different But I wish I didn't want it

Like a broken mirror, Seattle’s Guest Directors reflect a multitude of emotional and musical pathways.  On their new LP, Interference Patterns, the songs spiral one after another - sometimes powerful and sometimes delicate. They can sound like snowflakes and hail storms, sometimes in the same song.
