Wounds of Recollection is the first and longest-running project of the anonymous one-man black metal artist known only as Annos. In contrast of the darker atmosphere of Annos’ other projects, Isleptonthemoon and The Blood Mountain Black Metal Choir, Wounds of Recollection weaves uplifting atmospheric black metal and crushing post-metal in between somber moments of folk, post-rock, and emo to create a sound inspired by a deep sense of nostalgia.
