BMK is a German jazz double bassist, pop electric bassist, singer and musician born in Nairobi, raised in Washington D.C., Beijing and Bonn. He attended the conservatories of Rotterdam, Netherlands and Mainz, Germany. He uses basses, vocals, other instruments and samples to be able to work solo, although he also plays big band jazz, smaller ensembles and duo. On his solo recordings he often collaborates with his sound engineer of choice, Frank Brempel of Blue-In-Green-Studios Bonn, who occasionally adds his lovely violin. BMK also loves to watch and write dark crime fiction - and Thai food.
