Carmine Rebellion is the musical project of Scottish songwriter Mara Flint. The project took shape in early 2020, during the lockdown which resulted from the Covid-19 pandemic. During this period, Mara wanted to stay productive during her down-time. Time spent in her home studio resulted in a number of songs, some of which were released in her EP, "Manifesto", in June.

The songs have a modern metal sound, but also hark back to rock and metal of the 80s. Crushing guitar riffs sit alongside catchy vocal melodies in a way that is both familiar and unique. Ominous synths lend a dark atmosphere while pianos gently caress the ear.
