Braving The Storm

Braving The Storm
Cutting through the waves she’s the fastest vessel
Harvest of the sea back to port she brings
At the rudder stands the ships old captain
Tales of everywhere she’s sailed quietly she sings
Through ship wrecks and hardship, still she has prevailed
Albatross rests on his deck, by the law of the sea she sailed
Fleeing a land without hope any
A tiny boat with refugees many
For a new life a desperate hope
Waves rise as towers over the small boat
Losing control, cannot sail, barely float
On radio hear their desperate hope
They are unwanted, there is no hope, nowhere for them to flee
Grey ships are sent not to save but to push them back to sea
Their lives are worth nothing, they’re not citizens so let them die
Let their boat sink, let them drown, no one for them will cry
Cutting through the waves she’s the fastest vessel
She has heard the call, she’s coming at full speed
All the sailors know, of the sea the first law
Never turn your back on a ship in need
Grey ships try to stop her force her to back down
As the sailors try to save those about to drown
More ships arrive to battle the seas
Sailors born here and refugees
Here to outsail the boat of Charon
Saving one by one without any rest
Defy the gray ships threats of arrest
They’ll stay undefeated standing as one
Solo: Anna Loppacher
How can you stand by and watch as people die?
You’ve made it illegal to help can you tell me why?
Do you think we’ll just back down and stop to care?
Abandon our fellow humans and leave them in despair?
Save our souls
Brave the storm
Save our souls
Brave the storm
